Meditation Scripts
Guided biblical mindfulness practices to center your spirit and calm your mind.
Grounding in God's Presence
Find a comfortable seated position. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath in through your nose, filling your lungs completely. Exhale slowly through your mouth. Repeat this three times. As you breathe, imagine the presence of God surrounding you like a warm, protective light. Let go of the tension in your shoulders, your jaw, your hands. You are safe here. You are held. Rest in the knowledge that the Creator of the universe is intimately aware of you in this exact moment.
Scripture Meditation: Psalm 23
Begin by taking a few centering breaths. Slowly recite Psalm 23 in your mind: 'The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.' Pause. What does it mean to be shepherded? It means you are guided, protected, and provided for. 'He makes me lie down in green pastures.' Visualize a place of ultimate peace. Allow your mind to rest there. 'He restores my soul.' Ask the Holy Spirit to restore the areas of your life that feel depleted today.
Breath Prayer Practice
Breath prayer is an ancient Christian practice combining physical breathing with spiritual focus. Choose a short phrase of scripture. As you inhale, pray the first half. As you exhale, pray the second half. Example: (Inhale) 'Lord Jesus Christ,' (Exhale) 'Have mercy on me.' Or: (Inhale) 'When I am afraid,' (Exhale) 'I will trust in You.' Repeat this rhythm for five minutes, allowing the truth of the words to anchor your racing thoughts.
